CHEMICAL PEELS OFFER SEVERAL BENEFITS FOR THE SKIN, DEPENDING ON THE TYPE AND DEPTH OF THE PEEL. SOME OF THE COMMON BENEFITS INCLUDE:

1.      Improvement in Skin Texture: Peels exfoliate the skin, removing dead cells and promoting the growth of new skin cells and collagen. This leads to smoother and softer skin texture.

2.      Evening Skin Tone: Chemical peels can help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, sunspots, and uneven skin tone, leading to a more balanced and radiant complexion.

3.      Reducing Fine Lines and Wrinkles: Peels stimulate collagen production, which helps in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, resulting in firmer, more youthful-looking fresh skin.

4.      Minimizing Acne and Acne Scars: Chemical peels can unclog pores, reduce acne breakouts, and diminish the appearance of acne scars by promoting skin renewal.

5.      Brightening Dull Skin: By removing dead skin cells and encouraging cell turnover, peels can enhance the skin's natural radiance, making it look brighter and more refreshed.

6.      Improving Skin's Hydration: Some peels contain ingredients that help the skin retain moisture, improving overall hydration levels.

7.      Enhancing Product Absorption: Exfoliating the skin through a chemical peel can improve the absorption of skincare products, allowing them to penetrate more effectively for better results.

8.      Boosting Confidence: Clearer, smoother skin often leads to increased self-confidence and a more positive self-image.

ABOUT THE TREATMENT

The Renew 30 (Sensitive Skin Peel)

This is a gentle and hydrating chemical peel, and is a great beginner peel for someone who wants the benefits of the peel but no down time and no prep. Its 30% lactic acid formula loosens dead skin cells to result in a brighter, more hydrated, and even-toned complexion. This is a great choice for your first chemical peel and ideal for patients with sensitive skin.

AHA Duo (Anti-Aging Peel)

This chemical peel combines glycolic acid and lactic acid to exfoliate dead skin cells and boost skin turnover, improving texture, radiance and tone. This multifunctional peel targets multiple skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, UV damage,  hyperpigmentation, age spots, and large pores.

The BHA 20 (Oily Or Acne-Prone Peel)

This salicylic acid based resurfacing chemical peel is formulated for oily acne-prone skin. Salicylic acid is oil-soluble and has anti-inflammatory properties. This enables it to penetrate pores to reduce pore-clogging sebum and debris, while also reducing redness.

The Glow Peel (Performance Peel)

This modified Jessner solution combines 7% lactic acid, 7% salicylic acid, and 7% resorcinol to create a resurfacing solution effective in minimizing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone; however it does require that patients have prepared their skin prior with active medical grade skin care for 4 week prior (those who are already using medical grade skin care products do not need any further prep). This peel is the most penetrating peel we offer and can be customized in strength by the number of layers applied.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR A CHEMICAL PEEL?

Choosing the treatment that will be most effective for you is often a bit difficult but it does require medical knowledge and understanding of skin type, health history and possible contraindications. That’s why we’re here to help and discuss options! We will discuss your options with you and then formulate a comprehensive treatment plan to ensure you get the best result. It is important to highlight that generally patients require 3-6 peels every 4-8 weeks for optimal results, after that, we recommend maintenance every few months.

DO CHEMICAL PEELS HURT?

Chemical peels are virtually painless. You may, however, feel a minor tingling or warming sensation during your treatment, you provider will constantly assess to ensure your peel is done safely. Some people temporarily experience a feeling of tightness after their treatment.

ARE CHEMICAL PEELS SAFE?

Yes, chemical peels are safe when used by an experienced and trained professional.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS OF A CHEMICAL PEEL?

1.      Cleanse

2.      Tone

3.      Exfoliate

4.      Peel prep

5.      Chemical peel solution

6.      Moisturize

7.      Serum depending on skin type
